The health system offers full benefits to all regular full-time and part-time (0.5 FTE and above) employees. Benefits-eligible employees may participate in medicaldental and vision coverage; health savings account and flexible spending accounts; and other health system benefits.

  • New hires are eligible on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
  • Current employees who become newly eligible for benefits or experience a qualifying life event have 30 days from the applicable change to enroll in benefits.

Disability benefits begin on the first day of the month following six months of eligibility.

New employees, as well as current employees who are newly eligible or have a qualifying life event, have 30 days from the date of hire or change in eligibility status to enroll in benefits.

Coverage is also available to an employee’s eligible dependents including:

  • Legal spouse.
  • Children under age 26, born to or lawfully adopted by you or your spouse, and/or a child for whom you or your spouse is the legal guardian.
  • Disabled children age 26 or older, born to or lawfully adopted by you or your spouse, who are incapable of self-support, provided the disability began before age 26.
  • A child for whom healthcare coverage is required through a qualified medical child support order or other court or administrative order.
