Use MyChart to help manage your care

You can use MyChart, available as a mobile app and web-based portal, to manage the care you receive from the health system network, including:

  • Schedule appointments.
  • Access care through video visits for urgent care and regularly scheduled appointments.
  • Communicate with health system providers and the pharmacy.
  • Refill your prescriptions at the health system pharmacy.
  • Set alerts to track delivered prescriptions and those ready for pickup.
  • See test results.
  • Pay your bills and copays/coinsurance.
  • Request or share your medical records.
  • Request and access records for minor children, aging parents and family members.

Click “Sign Up Now” to get started. If you have a recent bill or after-visit summary, use the access code provided. If you don’t have an activation code, click “Sign Up Now” and scroll down to “Sign up with your information.”

If signing up online doesn’t work for you, ask your care team to help you at your next appointment. For help, call 913-588-4040 or email MyChart@kumc.edu.

After you have a prescription on file and a charge for your copay or coinsurance in MyChart, follow these steps on the MyChart web portal or app to add you payment information:

  1. Click the three lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Scroll down and select “Billing.”
  3. Select “Manage payment methods.”
  4. Select “Add a new payment method.”
  5. Enter your credit card information and hit submit.

*You can also add your HSA or FSA card.

Request your refill five days before your next fill is due:

  1. Sign in to MyChart and choose Medications from the main MyChart menu.
  2. Beside any eligible prescription, choose Request Refills.
  3. Choose next, and ensure The University of Kansas Health System Southlake Retail Pharmacy is selected.
  4. Confirm your delivery address and desired payment method (there is no extra charge for delivery).
  5. Submit your request.

You can also call the automated refill system at 913-588-2361 and follow the prompts.
