Employee Holiday Deals

It’s no secret: the holidays can put a strain on your finances, impacting your overall mental and physical health. With the year’s biggest shopping season on the horizon, now is the time to plan your holiday purchases. With some thoughtful planning and savvy shopping, you can celebrate the holidays and start the new year with your financial health intact.

Take advantage of these three free benefits offered by the health system to help you save this holiday season: Perks For You, Purchasing Power and the It’s About You wellness program.

Perks For You

If you’re looking for deals on your holiday shopping list, tickets, events or any goods and services, use Perks For You. Perks is available free to all employees, regardless of benefits eligibility. You can save on purchases from your favorite brands and local businesses and get exclusive discounts available only to health system employees. Before shopping online or at a retail store, always check the Perks portal first!

  • Check the Perks portal on November 25 to browse their Black Friday deals from retailers like Lenovo, HP, Kohl’s, Macy’s and Walmart.
  • Employee spouses now can access Perks with their own login so they can take advantage of deals, too.
  • Use the Savings Scout feature to automatically find deals and discounts when you shop online with an extension on your Chrome browser.

To see your exclusive holiday discounts, create a free Perks account:

  1. Visit kansashealthsystemperks.com
  2. Click “Don’t have an account? Sign up.”
  3. Enter your name, preferred email address, employee ID number (on the back of your badge in Kansas City and in your Workday profile), date of birth and home zip code.
  4. Create a password. Be sure to save the email address you used and your password to access Perks in the future.

Purchasing Power

If you’re looking to make a large purchase this holiday season – or any time of year – consider using the Purchasing Power program.

  • This benefit is available to employees who are at least 0.5 FTE and have been employed for at least 12 months.
  • This program is an affordable and responsible way to make larger purchases, including brand-name computers, phones, electronics, appliances and furniture.
  • Payments are made with payroll deduction, and the cost is divided into manageable payments over 12 months.

Now through April 9, Purchasing Power is offering up to 20 percent off the first order for new users! Visit tukh.purchasingpower.com to enroll or call Purchasing Power at 888-923-6236.

Save on holiday groceries

Hosting a holiday meal this year likely will be more expensive, with grocery costs up 13 percent over last year. Use the grocery deal finder feature on the It’s About You wellness portal to find discounts on food this holiday season and all year round. All the wellness portal tools, including the grocery deal finder, are free and available to all employees regardless of benefits eligibility.

  • Start by browsing the 500+ recipes on the wellness portal for your holiday menu.
  • Once you’ve selected a recipe, tap into the deal finder feature by entering your zip code into the prompt below “Ingredients” on the left side of the page. Then look for the red “$” icon next to the items that are on sale.
  • Tap the icon to get details about these real-time deals at your local grocery stores.
